Our venues include Conti Bar, Beer Garden, Beach Rd Promenade, CeeCee’s Dining Room, Ember Sorrento, Barlow cocktail bar, multiple function & events spaces, and an opulent pool deck.
The Continental Sorrento team, led by General Manager Luke Murphy, in collaboration with the KICKON Group, delivers world class food, beverage and customer service setting a new benchmark for excellence in the hospitality industry.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a number of passionate and driven chefs to join the opening team at Ember Sorrento a refined coastal restaurant celebrating expertly grilled steak and the freshest seafood.
Our goal is simple: to deliver a dining experience defined by quality, consistency, and heart. To do that, we need chefs who live for their craft those who bring energy, precision, and pride to every service.
We are seeking chefs from Sous to CDP level who thrive in a high-performing team and share a commitment to delivering the very best, every day. We’re building something special, and we want people who care deeply about food, the guest experience, and each other.
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.

About The Roles

Experienced Cooks
All roles are vital to ensuring Ember operates at its best, leading with passion and professionalism.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
Experience in premium or high-volume dining environments
Experience with using a Josper Grill
Proficiency in cooking a Steak
Exceptional cooking skills and attention to detail
A guest-first mindset and love for the craft
Leadership, adaptability, and strong communication
Commitment to building and mentoring a great team
Availability to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
Relevant trade qualification or equivalent hands-on experience
Experience with systems such as Cooking The Books, LightSpeed POS, and Tanda is highly regarded.
